QuickMeasures™ Help |
You can use QuickMeasures in four different ways to find measurement ideas:
Click on the links above, or in the navigation bar to find measurement ideas. Search using keywords (top) Most of the time you will want to find examples by keywords. Measurement ideas cut across kinds of work, industries and functions. Sometimes the most creative ideas come from an industry or function you'd least expect. Enter your search terms in the box and click the "Search" button. Depending on the type of search engine used by your intranet, QuickMeasures will return a listing of titles which match your criteria. (Viewing examples) To start a new search, click the "New Search" button. After viewing the example, click the Back button in your browser to return you to the listing of titles. Browsing by title (top) These examples are organized alphabetically by title. You can navigate to any point in the list by clicking on the large alphabet letters at the top of the screen. Some examples are listed several times to make them easier to find. For instance, "Vice President - Human Resources" is listed under "V" and "H". (Viewing examples) Browsing by industry (top) These examples are organized alphabetically by industry. You can navigate to any point in the list by clicking on the industry name links at the top of the screen. (Viewing examples) Browsing by function (top) These examples are organized alphabetically by title. You can navigate to any point in the list by clicking on the function name links at the top of the screen. Some examples are listed in several functions to make them easier to find. (Viewing examples) Viewing examples (top) Once you've found the title of an example which looks promising, you can click on the title link to view the example. You can then read the example or print it using the print command of your browser. Most browsers have a Find command (usually in the Edit menu) which lets you search for key words within a given page. See your browser's documentation for how to use this command to find key words within a document. To get back to the list of found examples, use the Back button of your browser. To view the customer diagram used to create a particular example, click on the Customer diagram link next to the title of the example. Copying/Editing examples (top)
